Edakkal Caves is one of Wayanad’s most important prehistoric archaeological sites, located on Ambukuthi Mala near Ambalavayal/Sulthan Bathery. The site is famous for ancient rock engravings showing human figures, animals, weapons, and symbols, with some carvings dating back to around 6000 BCE.

🥾 Trek: Around 300 steps, with a fairly steep climb; the approach takes roughly 45 minutes.
